VSF give out 800 livestock to 200 Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) in Yobe

The Victims Support Fund (VSF) has distributed 800 livestock to 200 Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Yobe State and disbursed N4 million to them to provide initial feeding for the herds.
Beneficiaries are IDPs in Niger-Nigeria boarder communities around Gaidam, which includes Hausari, Ashekari and Kolori are the beneficiaries.

The Executive Director of VSF, Prof. Sunday Ochoche, who launched the distribution, said the project was designed to improve agricultural support to the victims of Boko Haram insurgency to guarantee food security in the Northeast.
He said that each household would receive cash support of N20,000 to provide initial feeding for the three female goats and one male Borno Brown Goat distributed to them,
Ochoche said the VSF was collaborating with Yobe State FADAMA III Project to provide routine veterinary services to the beneficiaries that would guarantee health and increase the animals’ productivity.
